Tuesdays with Morrie is the autobiographical story of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie's appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig's Disease. Mitch is reunited with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life. Jamie Farr is absolutely brilliant.

Basketball Coach Jim Valvano onece said that there are three things you should do every day: You should learn something, you should laugh and you should be moved to tears. Tuesdays with Morrie fulfills all three of these requirements.

"Tuesdays with Morrie is only 80 minutes long, but I guarantee it will make you laugh, cry, think and feel, all in that limited time span." -The Star

COMMUNITY BOOK READ - Paenl Discussion: Sept. 11, 7:00 PM

This year's book read commemorates the 20th anniversary of Tuesdays with Morrie and highlights the story behind the stage show on October 8 at #:00 PM. Also chosen for the Community Book Read is Mitch Albom's Have a Little Faith. Both books focus on mentoring,  living a full life, and finding purpose at every stage in life. The book read will culminate in a free panel discussion with various community members and faith leaders on September 11, 7:00 PM at the Niswonger's First Federal Lecture Hall.

The Niswonger collaborates with the Brumback Library for the Community Book Read. The library offers these books at the Van Wert location and its branches. The books are available to all registered library patrons who have a valid library card. The books are also available at most book stores and available for download from retailers.
